Women for Peace Movement
— Symposium: “Empowerment of Women in the New Era”
In commemoration of the 8th of March International Women’s Day, the SSA women, together with our community partners, will be initiating a Women for Peace movement, with the following activities carrying the theme “Empowerment of Women in the New Era”.
The objective of this movement is to inspire in women, the ability to transform their smaller selves and be motivated to lead meaningful lives of positive contributions to society.
The symposium will bring together three inter-faith women speakers of the Catholic, Muslim and Buddhist faith to share their experience and philosophy on the “Empowerment of Women through Religious Faith”. You may like to note that this Symposium will only be conducted in English and is open to all Soka women (YWD and WD) and friends!
On that day, we will also launch and kick start the recruitment for a series of educational and community service volunteering activities centred on women issues. (please refer to the recruitment details below)
